Well, my room is getting tidier by the minute. I've decided to go in sections. Like I did my desk, and then my drawers yesterday, and today I did the other corner of my room, which was quite dusty since I hadn't cleaned there for about six months. Actually, come to think of it, it wasn't that dusty. I mean, six months. That's a pretty long time. Not much dust then.

While I'm writing this there's this ad adverstising - as ads do - something called The Gabriel Method. It's making me lol, just because of that. The Gabriel Method. Heh.

Anywho. Enough with the random. I've downloaded the latest episode of Heroes, and am downloading the latest episode of House. I should probably nickname Tuesday the Night of the H.

I feel like watching The Wrath of Khan. I've felt this way most of today, I think. I'll watch it after Heroes and House (and dinner, which I really should get to). Then maybe I'll read chapter 3 of Pandora Hearts, because I know Amy will not let up on this (not that I mind, sometimes I need a little push, you know?) and anyway I haven't read it in awhile.

Yes, my life - without uni and other people there to counteract it - is basically television, television, television. I promise I will read a book over the summer. God, I really do need to read a book when I get home, I haven't read one in ages. Any suggestions? Doesn't have to be a recent one, maybe one of your favourites (and we all like talking about our favourite things, at least I know I do).

My sister bought Juno and Wall-E but Juno is the most important because she has watched it multiple times already. She has made me promise that I will watch it with her when I get home (FIVE DAYS, IF YOU COUNT TODAY!!). Also she was making Anzac biscuits today and burnt her finger. Poor thing.

AAHHH, I'M HALF WANTING TO GO HOME AND HALF NOT. GRRAAHHH.

*cough* So....*twiddles thumbs*
I should probably go down to dinner. I need to do the laundry tomorrow (I was going to do it today but got distracted).

Whenever I go visit my parents, I stop at this one grocery store on the way home. It's a little, independently owned store that's probably 60% produce and 40% deli and dry goods aimed at various ethnic cuisines. The produce is very cheap, and I tend to walk out with a few things I've never tried before every time I go in.

Last weekend, I got shallots. Today, I discovered that baby asparagus sauteed with a thinly sliced shallot and a little black pepper is yummy. This leaves me with... ten shallots, since they were only being sold in a package. What would you make with shallots?

Other discovery of note: fresh mission figs are very good. Very good. Enough so that I may give dried figs a try for the first time in my adult life. Yum.

Hey y'all! It's been a long, long time since I last posted here. I bring good news (I guess)
I couldn't get it off my mind: I wanted a Cadley movie so bad I'm making a fake trailer for them. House M.D hits the cinemas with "Don't Ask Me To Explain" - where there's only 14 if they're fighting or breaking up and Chameron sex if Cameron is thinking of a doctor named Remy Hadley.
Well, since trailers are made of fast scenes, short dialogues and quick glances in the story, I decided I'd post some of the scenes I'm gonna use without the cut, in all their glory.
I explained pretty much everything in the description of the video.
I'd love to have your opinion.
ps: I'll post the others scenes later - I managed to get a lot of scenes where you can, you know, pretend it's real but the dialogue is gonna up to you (for now).

I had to change the song because I had copyright issues.

So last year I made Holiday icons in the style of the one I'm using. I want to get a jump on this year and get them posted on Black Friday.

The thing is, I want to do more than last year. I got 50 of various couples and if I could do 100 this year, that would be so awesome.

What I need to know is, what kind of couple smut icons would you like? It's a new style this year so all the ones I did last year, I will do this year. My only rule is that poor Angel, he only gets a smut icon with Cordelia (hey, I'm making them, I can be a fanbrat). But other than that, hit me with the kind of couple icons you want.

All the couples under the cut will get an icon regardless cause I did them last year.

List from last year )

A Message From Ellen (From her newsletter)
It's fall. The weather's getting cooler, the leaves are changing, and in our studio it's been raining money. And the forecast says it's not gonna stop all month!
On Monday, I kicked off Doughvember by shooting money into the audience with a cannon. And, I witnessed a miracle! One audience member surprised me by standing up to grab some dough. Later, Jim Carrey made her walk again. Except he didn't have to pay her to do it.
And, we played a new game this week. It's called "Know or Go." The rules were simple: when a contestant didn't know, I got to make them go. By the way, there are three contestants. So enjoy this one. And this might be my favorite. I gotta be honest, I have no idea where the contestants go when they don't know. But that's showbiz.
We're gonna be playing games all next week for Doughvember Game Week. (It took me months to come up with that name, by the way.) And, I've got some great news. You could win $25,000 just for watching at home! And, we're also playing "Clue: Secrets & Spies," where you could win $15,000! See, I wasn't joking about this Doughvember thing. Go here to find out how to play.
We've also got some really great guests next week. We have an exclusive interview with John Travolta. Ryan Seacrest will be here. And, on November 20th Robert Pattinson will be on the show!
Also, we're giving away more dough. I can't tell you when and I can't tell you where. But I can tell you that if you're not following me on Twitter, you're gonna miss out.
So keep checking those tweets and have a great weekend!
Ellen

I am alone in the apartment, so I've taken the opportunity and am now airing out my room. I don't even know if my flatmates have left yet. Well, I know two of them have. The other one...well, for all I know, he could have left weeks ago. I don't know. Which leaves me with the absoluely wonderful job of cleaning the apartment this week. Oh, and getting rid of all the stuff in the fridge and cupboard, stuff I never bought. Also, I think one of the flatmates left their cutlery. Um, excuse me? Couldn't you have, I don't know, taken them with you? At Flatemate C cleaned the apartment, now the living room is all tidy. I'd just have to vacuum it. Which, you know, is good and all. Anywho, I'm going to have set aside a day for cleaning. Thursday maybe? I mean, sort of last minute, yes, but if I clean it now, it'll just get dirty again, believe me.

My room is a mess due to that panic I had over losing my keys. Poor room. And I still haven't watched Merlin. I feel very behind. It's because of me being busy, I tell you. Actually productive (I know! I was surprised too). Saturday being the day of my philosophy exam, which went pretty well, all considering. I quoted Buffy and Angel. I referenced The Terminator (because the Grandfather Paradox makes no logical sense to me - why would you go back in time to kill your grandfather, befoe your father was born? Just...why? I bet none of you can come up with a really good answer to that one. If one of you does, you will be showered with virtual cookies, I promise.

And after that a friend and I - to relax after that strenuous exam - went to see a movie, The Imagineriam of Dr. Parnassus. Which was pretty good, really. Weird, but good. Yesterday I spent the day helping [info]babydykecate pack because she is leaving, oh god, tomorrow morning. Eek. And we went to see Couples Retreat. Bad movie, I do not recommend, unless you want to see a bad movie, then by all means, watch it! Kristen Bell was lovely, as ever, but she definitely deserves better roles. Sigh. The kids were basically the funniest part of the movie - and their eyes! Like Puss In Boots' eyes in Shrek II. So cute!

Wow, this is getting to be a long post. Oh well *evil cackle*
A WEEK. OMG. I GO HOME IN A WEEK. Time really does fly. It seems only yesterday when I was - yet again - alone in this very apartment, feeling, well, alone and bereft of company. I wouldn't see my family - and my sister, who is like my best friend - for six weeks. SIX WEEKS. How would I cope? Well, apparently I have coped quite well. I'm still alive, for one thing. Both physically and mentally, which is good to know. I have discovered many new shows, the absolute wonder of fast internet and ability to download, new music and new friends. This is getting a bit sentimental. Let's us have a moment of silence for my first year at uni.

*moment of silence*

Well, I think that's enough silence. Definitely tomorrow I'm gonna eat better, but for now I'm going to go watch Merlin and eat the ice cream my flatmates - in their infinite wisdom - left in the freezer. Hopefully it is good ice cream. Strawberry, I think.

Random )
Well, that appears to be it. I am so sorry for the long post. Usually they don't get this long. I guess, you know, I'm just a bit emotional having a) lost my keys and then found them, leading to feelings of giddy relief (I'm sure some of you know what that's like), b) I just watched the end of Torchwood season 2 and am now sad because of, well, Tosh and Owen. Sigh. Oh, and c) ONE FREAKING WEEK. ONE WEEK, PEOPLE.
*cough* That is all. Now, MERLIN.

Fuck. I've lost my keys. Now I can't even leave the apartment. Fuck. I knew something bad was going to happen.

EDIT: OH MY GOD, I FOUND THEM. WHY DID I PUT THEM BEHIND THAT PILE? WHY??
