The True Meaning of a Lesbian Following
Counting down to AfterEllen's Hot 100 List coming out Monday (so excited!), I've been wondering what my Hot 100 list would look like. I ended up only with 70, after deciding not to put the actresses who I only followed in a specific role on the list. So, I present 70 women who I've lusted over, admired, and respected. Actresses I've watched in any film or TV show, no matter how awful or boring, just to catch a glimpse of them. Countless magazines purchased just for their photos and interviews. It is no accident that many of these women have played lesbian/bi characters, acted in movies with GLBT themes, or just played characters seemed to hint at a gay subtext. Once you attract a lesbian's attention, you will have a lesbian following for life.

Great list!

I thought you'd be interested to know that Megan Follows played a lesbian on an episode of ER. She was Kate, a very out friend of Kim's who made Kerry so uncomfortable she left dinner.

Also, Kyra Sedgwick was also in a movie called Losing Chase where I believe she got to kiss Helen Mirren. It was a good movie even though it had a really angsty ending.

:D Thanks for letting me start my morning by thinking of all these beautiful women!

seriosly these are almost the exact order and woman I would have on my list, however your missing Lucy Lawless (Xena) and one that you probably havent heard of before Rae Baker

:). I watched a little Xena as a kid, but I haven't seen very much of it. I'd never heard of Rae Baker, but I googled her and she's very pretty. Emily Deschanel is another woman I'd add to my list now.

Ur list
I came across your list, and i was shocked to see that a lot of women on ur list are on my list, order differs slightly, but almost the same. Also someone u missed that i would like to mention, 'cos i think she is gorgeous, is Eva LaRue, u got all the other CSI women and left her out lol.

Re: Ur list
I actually didn't know about her, as I've only seen a few eps of CSI: Miami, and I mainly paid attention to Calleigh (Emily Procter). I'd make a few additions to the list myself-
Emily Deschanel, Michaela Conlin & Tamara Taylor of Bones;
Summer Glau of Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Firefly and Serenity;
Clementine Ford of The L Word (Molly);
and Lisa Edelstein of House.

I so agree; it's probably why my (though never actually written out) "hot list", yours, and prolly the rest of lesbiandom's are so similar.

Popped in to say that I'm friending you, if you don't mind. I've bumped into you around enough different fandoms that I figured it was time, LOL!
